CASE STUDY

A Supplemental Health program was in competition in 4 large public entity accounts. The “key” to winning the accounts was the inclusion of two local hospitals in the network. The primary network only had 1 of the hospitals in network. For a low capitated rate, the supplemental health program included First Access as the secondary network to wrap in the second hospital and win all 4 accounts.

WellCard Savings delivered over $720,000 annual savings to a 10,000 life group. The group was paying over $60,000 monthly for a discount program that included medical, dental, pharmacy and vision. Now $6.00 per member per month was available to buy other products and services that could benefit the group. WellCard also provided group access to 12 additional health care programs they didn’t have before.
